World Cup 2013 – Saturday 15th June 2-5pm

One of the beautiful things about a sport that is (as far as we know) only played in one place in the world is that we can authentically stage an annual world cup competition.

The date for this year’s Netrugby World Cup is Saturday 15th June. The event takes place on Clapham Common. The event is a ’round-robin’ where all teams play each other, followed by two semi-finals and a final to decide the winner. Games are seven minutes each way and teams are made up of seven players, instead of the normal (league) number of ten. A maximum squad size of 10 is permitted.

Even if you don’t play in the main-season league, do get in touch if you’d like to enter a team – it’s an easy game to pick up and the more the merrier.

As ever there will be picnics and beers for all, in addition to displays of one of the UK’s most exciting sports. 12;30 meet for 12:45pm kick off.
